6m x 3m canopy room – dance studio
Here we have created a 6m x 3m dance studio for our lovely client Aimee in Heald Green. Aimee is a personal trainer and dance instructor and wanted a space she could train her clients one to one for a more personal experience.
Aimee had an open and bare garden with artificial grass laid previously to our arrival. This gave us a lovely landscape to work with. We decided to excavate the ground where the garden room was to be sitting, so we could place our base at ground height and there would be no step up into the garden room. This in turn not only made a seamless entrance to the studio, but also added 100mm to our internal roof height – whilst staying within permitted development rights.
The garden room is finished in a duck egg blue with Anthracite grey fascia and stunning 5-metre bifold doors running along the front of the building. This is not only a gorgeous room but extremely practical too. We fitted a large mirrored wall so Amy can track her progress with her dance routines during classes.
Now it’s time to get the dancing shoes on and enjoy this incredible space for years to come!
